Creating a Boss Fight Taught Me Everything

In this video, we tackle the problem of creating a boss fight for my game. The game is an indie roguelike set within a dark mine inside a giant mountain.

The first level is pretty much completed, but we still need a boss fight at the end. The intimidating challenge of animating the boss almost takes me down a dark shortcut, but in the end, I decided to face the challenge head-on.

In the meantime, I realized the player needs stronger weapons to fight the boss, and I end up discovering a duplication glitch where items get duplicated by accident.

After many days of animating, the boss fight is finally finished, so stay tuned to see it in action!
