This paper reviews four cases, three of which were resolved by gently, manual correcting the misalignments in the upper cervical spine. You might be wondering why that is. Well, in the paper it discusses how the referral pattern of the C1-C3 nerve roots is through the ear often times and can be relieved by taking the irritation out of the nerves in the top of the neck.
