EMOTIONAL BIRTH VLOG: Welcoming Baby Tyce

The most special vlog of the birth of our baby boy Tyce Brodie Kaneho'omalu Bender, named after his Daddy, Uncle & Papa. (Kaneho'omalu is Tiani's brother's Hawaiian middle name, named after Tiani's dad as well, the Hawaiian meaning being "man of peace").
We love him so much.

Our sweet baby boy was welcomed into this world on May 21, 2021. It was a long long week prior feeling like contractions were on-going day after day... two false alarms even (see previous video for full vlog!). We couldn't WAIT for him to come. When it was finally time and we actually got admitted into the delivery room we could not contain our excitement especially after being turned away twice already.
This labor was such a positive and smooth experience which we are SO beyond blessed and thankful for, we know it could have gone so many different ways. When I got the epidural, it was perfect because I wasn't completely numb, but numb enough to be comfortable during my contractions.
Little Tyce made it so easy on me during delivery when it was finally time for him to come. When the doctor FINALLY got there (it felt like centuries because she didn't head over until I was practically at 10cm) I was more than ready to push. I could feel a lot even with the epidural, this made pushing easier (because it was so painful I just wanted him out). I pushed SO hard on my first push, they told me to stop pushing, I stared up at the ceiling just trying to get through the pain and was waiting for them to signal me to push again. Little did I know.. little man was practically already out! They told me to look down and there he was.

We are so beyond blessed to have had a smooth, positive, healthy and happy labor and delivery experience. And especially to have a healthy baby. He is the greatest addition and we love him more than we can express.
