Director Lane Wyrick discusses A Friend Indeed-The Bill Sackter Story World Premiere

Director Lane Wyrick discusses the upcoming World Premiere of the feature length documentary "A Friend Indeed - The Bill Sackter Story" that was held on June 7, 2008 at Hancher Auditorium in Iowa City.

Several scenes from the film are shown along with his commentary about the background and purpose for the documentary about Bill Sackter who became an internationally recognized hero for people with disabilities.

The premiere event was a big success, with an audience of 1175, and many of the people from Bill's life attended including Barry and Bev Morrow, Jack Doepke, Tom Walz along with Director Lane Wyrick and Music Composer Peter Bloesch.

"A Friend Indeed - The Bill Sackter Story" went on to become the #1 Audience Favorite in five consecutive film festivals, and now can be seen in its entirety at http://www.BillSackter.com where you can also purchase a feature packed DVD as well, including scenes from the Hancher Premiere.

This was the last event to be held at Hancher, as one week after the event it was destroyed by the floods of 2008.
