Trump: It's 'sick' tech giants allow Chinese propaganda on platforms but ban the president

Donald Trump says it’s a “sick” motivation from social media giants to allow Chinese propaganda to publish content threatening to “bomb” Australia to its platform but banned the sitting president.

The former US president appeared on Fox News where Maria Bartiromo asked him what motivation tech giants have to allow “propaganda” from China to “run wild” but will ban the sitting president from its platform.

“The motivation is a sick motivation," said Donald Trump.

“They allow countries and dictators that want to destroy everything and everybody, that are doing tremendous harm to their countries.

“They’re allowed. But the president of the United States that has a following like nobody’s seen before, we’re not allowed to do that.”

The comments come after China’s mouthpiece the Global Times published an article in May where it suggested “China make a plan to impose retaliatory punishment against Australia” if the country followed the US into protecting Taiwan if a war broke out between China and Taiwan.

Mr Trump went into further detail about his reasons for filing a class action lawsuit against Facebook, Twitter and Google’s Youtube.

“What they’ve done is such a violation in the constitutional a violation like we’ve never seen before,” he said.

“They take me down, they take all conservative voices down, or most of them.

“If they find them they take them down. It’s a disgrace.”
