About Arnd Sketch:

My name is Youri van der Arend, a fineliner artist from the Netherlands. Since a young age I am always drawing. I love to do creative things, but sketching with fineliners is what I love most nowadays.

My goal is to improve and learn how to master pen and ink drawing. I am not focused on one certain style, but mix differend methods together to create one appealing artwork I am happy with.
All the styles I mix together are stippling (pointillism), or also called dotwork, hatching and cross hatching, contour or outlines and scumbling (little circles combined together).

the subjects I am drawing in my sketchbook are mainly urban sketches and artworks of solo objects of a wide variety.

On this YouTube channel I am posting shorts of my drawing highlights and I also post the longer video versions. The video's are meant for relaxing, asmr drawing, but also to help you learn and practice with fineliners. I also want to make the videos like a 'draw with me' vibe, where you play it in the background for relaxation when drawing yourself. There is no talking, no commentary and sometimes no music, other than urban street sounds or crowd noise and natural nature sounds.
