Italian Grand Prix. Fatal Crash & Tragedy @ Monza (1961).

On September 10, 1961, german driver Wolfgang Von Trips ("Taffy") and 15 spectators were killed on the second lap of the race at Monza after Von Trips tangled with Jim Clark.

During the race at Monza, his Ferrari collided with Jim Clark's Lotus. His car became airborne and crashed into a side barrier, fatally throwing Von Trips from the car, and killing fifteen spectators.

To the blessed memory of all the Kings of the Peloton who scorned death.
