STOP Suffering from Back Pain and DECOMPRESS Your Spine!

De-compress your whole body to relieve and reduce joint compression and muscle tension, this exercise sometimes known as the corpse pose. You are manually tracking the spine, Lying flat on the floor you will naturally take pressure of the back however you'll be pushing your head away from your heels which is stretching all your muscles and joints from head to toe opening up every vertebrae.

This is harder than it looks and very effective for neck, lower and upper back tension and alignment. Take it a your own pace but remember to try and pull yourself apart. It also trains the muscles to maintain the opened up position keeping the spine open. Sitting or standing long periods of time will compress the back, spine and body as a whole which can pinch nerves, compress discs, tighten muscles in the neck, upper back, shoulders, traps, lower back pain and so on.

Be sure to use the push pull technique to really engage the muscles when doing this exercise (if it's relaxing you aren't doing it right)
