In this video, I'll show you how to set up your voice AI agent to work exactly the way you want, without any confusion or mistakes. I call this the GPS framework—Guide, Protocols, Sequence—and it’s a simple, repeatable system to create a reliable and effective AI assistant.

First, the **Guide** is where you define the role, skills, and objectives of your AI agent. For example, if your assistant is named Nova and she’s a licensed electrician, you’ll spell out exactly what she can and can’t do. Be specific—don’t just call her a “helpful assistant.” Detail her skills, like diagnosing electrical faults or calming anxious callers, and set clear objectives like following protocols and avoiding open-ended responses.

Next, **Protocols** act as guardrails to keep your AI on track. Think of it like bowling with bumpers—your AI won’t go off track. Protocols include clarity, simplicity, personalization, and empathy. For instance, Nova should start with human-first language, like “I’m sorry your outlet sparked—let’s fix this fast,” rather than robotic responses like “Request logged.”

Then, the **Sequence** ensures your AI follows a step-by-step process, like a factory conveyor belt. For example, when someone calls, Nova should greet them, diagnose the issue, collect information one step at a time (like asking for a phone number slowly and repeating it back), confirm everything, and then close the call with clear expectations.

Finally, I’ll share tips for tuning your AI agent, like using markdown formatting, reviewing call transcripts weekly, and iterating on your prompts to reduce hallucinations and improve performance. Stick to this GPS framework, and your voice AI agent will be clear, reliable, and ready to deliver the best customer experience.
