Different maps. Possible war and peace.

This video was made with the support of the United States as part of Restart Initiative's Economic Connectivity | Armenia-Azerbaijan Dialogue Series project.

Today I had conversation at Daha Yaxşı with Dr Dennis Sammut. We discussed the probability of war and peace, why there are different maps defining borders between Azerbaijan and Armenia and future of regional cooperation in the South Caucasus.

Dr Dennis Sammut is a foreign policy analyst and consultant, with two decades of experience of work in the Caucasus Region and other parts of the Former Soviet Union and the wider Middle East. He is the Director of LINKS (Dialogue-Analysis-Research), and a Member of the Advisory Council of the European Policy Centre in Brussels.

He has previously served with the United Nations in Afghanistan, and as a member of the European Union’s “Tagliavini Commission” on the war in Georgia and as a Trustee of the John Smith Memorial Trust. From 2012-14 he was co-ordinator of OxGAPS, the Oxford Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies Forum at Oxford University.
