Marcos orders economic team to implement ‘true reform’ to boost PH economy | ANC

Soundbytes: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vowed that the Philippines is committed to provide avenues in expanding trade and investment in the region as it takes on the chairship of the ASEAN-Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC). The president led the ceremonial handover of the council’s leadership from Malaysia to the Philippines at the Malacañang Palace Thursday, January 29. Meanwhile, he has directed his economic team to implement “true reform” to strengthen the country’s economy during a Cabinet meeting on Friday, January 30, in Malacañang in the wake of the country’s worst economic growth since 2011.
