Here are the steps.

1. Go to your Dashboard to the Media tab and click Add New. Browse to the ebook on your computer and click on it then click to open or upload it.

2. You'll see it uploading. You can add a title, caption, and description.

3. You'll see the ebook link and this is a good time to copy the link for use later.

4. Use these same steps to upload the ebook cover to the media library.

5. Now go to either add post or add an image widget to the sidebar. If you are adding a post you'll see where it says to upload media just above the post box. Click there. In the media box list you'll see your ebook cover and click show. Usually people use a thumbnail size and you can choose sizes.

6. Click where it says Add to Post and the image of the ebook cover will be there now.

7. Next click on the ebook cover image in the post and then click Add Link in the icons at the top of the post box. Paste in the link you copied for the ebook. This means when someone clicks on the image of the ebook cover the pdf ebook will open up and they can download it by using a menu bar that automatically shows.

8. You can also type something in the post box, highlight it, and click Add Link to so people can click to read or download the ebook there too.

9. To add the cover and ebook to the sidebar use an image widget. Where it says Add Image click and go to the media library and click Show again and the click where it will say Add to Widget.

10. Now you have the cover so let's add the link to the ebook. In the image widget below the image you'll see a place where it says Link and you can paste the link to the ebook (which you copied from the ebook listing in the media library) and paste it there. Now when someone clicks on the ebook cover they will see the ebook open up so they can read it or download it.
