They say Hollywood is nothing more than a small town. While it may seem as though it is the complete opposite because of all the extremely rich and ridiculously famous people who live there, it’s actually kind of true. It’s hard to find an American movie that doesn’t feature at least one or two of your favourite actors, and these guys work all the time! So much so, that almost every actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has worked with one or two of their co-stars at least once. Whether it was years before they were famous, or high profile projects, many MCU actors crossed paths on screen long before they ever suited up to save the world. Like Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, and Anthony Mackie, who all featured together in the romantic comedy What’s Your Number? Or how about Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson, who appeared on screen in the Joseph Gordon Levitt-directed movie Don Jon? Mark Ruffalo has starred alongside Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Brie Larson, all in separate films! Samuel L Jackson has worked with just about everybody, and Paul Rudd and Bradley Cooper spent one Wet Hot American Summer at camp together! Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie went to a whole different war together, and Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olson featured together in Spike Lee’s remake of Oldboy long before Brolin became Thanos and Olson took on Scarlet Witch. With all of these crossovers and more, there is no doubt that, when it comes to casting, Hollywood is choosing from a very small, very talented pool!
