he knew i'd booked a flight.
what he didn't know was that i'd been setting up a surprise when he wasn't expecting one.

after nearly two long years of communicating exclusively through texts and video calls (plus the occasional surprise gifts and letters), i flew from new zealand to california and finally got to reunite with my best friend.
