Does Pouring Medium Mixed in Bottles Dry Out?

As long as you're keeping your pouring medium mixtures in air-tight containers, they can last a long time! A bottle with a tight seal is all you need to make your mixtures last you months or even years!

0:05 Q: Does pouring medium mixed with color dry out?

0:10 A: I’ve had pouring mediums that I mixed last for years.

0:26 As long as no air gets in the container, the paint will not dry.

0:45 The paint will dry if you allow it to evaporate. To avoid the water molecules from evaporating make sure the container has a tight seal.

1:15 If the paint dries in the bottle you’ll not be able to remove the paint. This then prohibits you from not only continually using the paint but-reusing the bottle as well. You will wind up having to throw the entire thing away which is wasteful and harmful to the environment.
