Watercolor City Tutorial, Watercolor Tips on Values Painting Cityscape, How To Paint A Simple Street

Hey Everyone!
In this annotated tutorial I’m going through basic steps of value study and layering painting technique in watercolor. I show how to do the first wash, paint and connect one big shape of middle values and finish with darks to emphasize details and shadows. For the subject, I chose a little street in Italy with beautiful dramatic shadows. This gave me a nice range of values to demonstrate.
