UV Resin vs. Sculpey Gloss Glaze on polymer clay

✨ Two finishes, one design – which would you choose?

For these earrings, I started by mixing different shades of green polymer clay and added gold foil on one side and acrylic paint on the other. After cutting everything into small pieces, I combined them with black liquid clay to form a block, sliced it, rolled it out and cut the final shapes.

The final step: finishing.

I tested two different techniques:
– UV Resin for a glossy, slightly domed surface
– Sculpey Gloss Glaze (applied with a ball tool, not a brush) for a similar shine and domed surface

Both create a beautiful glossy finish, but the difference is in their flexibility:
✨ UV Resin → stiffer
✨ Gloss Glaze → flexible and lightweight
