Debian 10 Buster Intel Wifi Support Non Free
In this video I will be demonstrating how to get Intel wifi support after installing Debian 10 Buster, I had no wifi on my Intel Skull Canyon NUC (NUC6i7KYK) post install, this meant I had to search what drivers were needed to get my wireless internet working.
I started by adding the contrib and non-free in the sources list which gives you access to non free drivers in Debian, after that I installed the firmware-iwlwifi package, then I followed that with a modprobe -r iwlwifi ; modprobe iwlwifi and my wireless internet was up and running, I'm not sure whether you can reboot without the modprobe command and have wireless running. I would probably thinks so, I also added some extra video to show you how to download the firmware-iwlwifi from debian.pkgs.org website in the event you don't have a wired internet. Hope you enjoy the video.
Command to search for your wireless driver name - lspci
Command to install the wireless firmware - sudo apt update && apt install firmware-iwlwifi
Modprobe command - modprobe -r iwlwifi ; modprobe iwlwifi
