Lakawon Island 2022 | Amazing Island in the Philippines - Part 1

Lakawon island resort is a banana-shaped island off the shore of Cadiz in Negros Occidental. It has clear blue water, and a perfect cream sand beach. If you want to take a quick day trip from Bacolod City, it is the perfect getaway.
Lakawon Island is situated just 48 kilometers (30 miles) from Bacolod City, the capital of Negros Occidental. It is reachable from the shore of Barangay Cadiz Viejo by a 20-minute boat ride. It is known as the Boracay of Negros because of its powdery cream sand beach. The word “Lakawon” or “to walk” comes from the Cebuano root word “lakaw”.
We spent the day with our friends who live in Negros Occidental and had a great time getting our "sun and saltwater therapy".
