Mudlarking the River Medway - Finding the objects left behind over 100 years ago (September 2021)

Join me on the River Medway where I am in search of the objects left behind by forgotten Naval Officers well over a century ago. Old bottles for remedies and cures, favourite drinks, ink pots and clay pipes erode from the mud and tell us so much about what these men enjoyed once upon a time. Now all that remains are these fragments of history and we can imagine who once held them, ate their dinner off of them and had the wide variety of bottles on the table in front of them. Mudlarking can really get your imagination going!

In this bottle I make reference to a website called https://baybottles.com/ where I found some great info on Sloan's Liniment. It's a fab website so do look it up!
