2018 Hanging Advent Calendar

Today's project is a hanging Advent Calendar created because of the inspiration of a subscriber, Thanks Robyn! Last year I created a small, book version of an Advent Calendar which is easy to mail, but was not sure of how to do one for this year. After her suggestion for a wall calendar, it got my mind's wheels turning. This is what I came up with.
The basic box unit is 2" by 2" by 1" deep, and opens from the front in a downward motion. I created 24 boxes from one paper pack, and then one from gold foil paper. The gold one is for Christmas Day, as Our Lord and Savior was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. The gifts of the Magi were specifically for this mission: Gold for His Kingship, Frankincense (incense) for a priestly offering to God, and Myrrh (an embalming oil) symbolizing His death for the salvation of all.
I have also placed in each day's box a verse or two that tells the amazing and loving story of God's love for us. I am trying to get a pdf of the advent countdown Bible verses on my website, but please be patient it is my first time adding to the blank page marked "printables". I know there are also many activity and more secular countdown printables on the internet, just search on Pinterest for a bunch!
