The Wonderful, Quirky Looks, Sounds of Antique Hit & Miss Engines

Visitors to “Ederville” got to see vintage equipment come to life in November at the Mid East Railroad Services’ 100-Plus Years of Progress show in Carthage, North Carolina.

In the video above, we take a tour of Ederville’s collection of gasoline-powered hit-and-miss engines, also known as stationary gas engines, that brought power to many farms during the early 20th century.
