David Ndii (born in Kiambu, Kenya) is an economist, columnist, and author. The Telegraph has described him as "one of Africa’s best-known economists and an outspoken anti-corruption crusader". He was a Rhodes scholar at Oxford University. David Ndii is Managing Director of Africa Economics and currently writes a column for the Saturday Nation. He served as a technical advisor on Public Finance to the Committee of Experts and previously worked as an economic advisor to the president of Rwanda, Chief Economist for Equity Bank, an economist with the World Bank, and taught at the University of Nairobi.
In recent years he has been an open critic of the economic policy of the Uhuru Kenyatta administration, writing several open letters and tweets criticizing the government's economic policies and borrowing of loans.
