While we have been busy fighting breathlessly over inconsequential issues - the Govt. has been stealing our breath - literally - by conveniently clearing out forests in the name of “infrastructural projects”....without much thought or impact planning.

Even when we are ranked amongst the WORST FIVE in the global Environment Performance Index, neither us.... nor the Government has worked to improve the situation. Delhi NCR pollution is at all time high, North India has the most of the top 10 polluted cities in THE WORLD…. and yet it was far from the issues raised in any of the recent elections.

In this episode of The Deshbhakt, we talk about the most important and basic element to save our environment- Trees. Issues such as Climate change, carbon emission, melting glaciers are being globally debated today - but in India, we cannot even take care of the most elemental AND BASIC environmental problem facing us - Deforestation.
