Why FOR ALL MANKIND could be the pre-prequel to Star Trek - a ROBSERVATIONS "Short Take" (#053)
#ForAllMankind #AppleTV #StarTrek
Long-time Imagination Connoisseur, Kal Kamel (S’wak Props) writes in to celebrate the APPLE TV series: FOR ALL MANKIND. The stories are strong and firmly rooted in science and an accurate depiction of the US Space Program starting in the 1960s.
Instead of our reality, where the space race came to an end in the late 60s/early 70s and the public lost interest shortly afterward, FOR ALL MANKIND continues to push the technology and exploration forward - resulting in human exploration and colonization of the solar system. Well-developed characters and plausible alternative histories made the first season tremendously successful and season two, which takes place in the 1980s, will start showing soon.
ROBSERVATIONS host, Robert Meyer Burnett, also enjoys the show - and in his head, he can see FOR ALL MANKIND serving as a pre-prequel series in the Star Trek universe (pre-Enterprise). Although there will not be any direct correlation to Trek in FOR ALL MANKIND’s future, there are always … “possibilities.”
