Helvellyn from Thirlmere, Lake District 2nd January 2019

A walk up to the 3rd highest point in England, Helvellyn.
The route is one of the shortest routes up to Helvellyn and starts from Swirls Car Park next to Thirlmere. We take an "out and back" route, the descent route being the same route as the ascent route.
My two brothers, Eric & Gary were with me along with Eric's partner Tracy and "Daisy" the dog. The path from Swirls Car Park is fairly steep in places. Total Distance is around 4.5 miles.
