Examples of The Aeolian Mode in Popular Music!

The Aeolian Mode or the Natural Minor Scale is the sixth mode. The minor sixth interval in the mode gives it a darker and sadder sound than Dorian.

In this video I give examples of how to write a chord progression in Aeolian, as well as Rock and Pop songs examples to learn and practice.

Sweet Dreams: The Eurhythmics or Marilyn Manson
Crazy Train: Ozzy Osbourne
First Tube: Phish
Ain' No Sunshine: Bill Withers
All Along The Watchtower: Bob Dylan/Jimi Hendrix
Zombie: The Cranberries
Losing My Religion: R.E.M.
