Finding our First Boat (Becalmed Stories) | 20ft Yacht Hurley 20 [Ep.3]

Our third sailing episode. A lack of wind leaves us becalmed in the middle of a lake, this creates an ideal time for us to tell the story of how we bought our first boat.

Our boat search consisted of a variety of boats, such as a Moody 29 in Portsmouth, which was too big and required a mooring.
We then started searching for trailer sailors and locations to store it, which brought us to a storage facility in Baxterley called Merlin Storage, where we discovered an abandoned boat in a field - this was unfortunately too far damaged.
Next was a Pippin 20, which was very tidy but far too expensive.
And finally a Hurley 20 at Carsington Water, which was the most ideal for us and ultimately the one that we decided to buy.
