I Bought a Used Motorcycle! It Needs Some Work! Plastic Repair Pt1
I Bought a Used Motorcycle! It Needs Some Work! Plastic Repair Pt1. While browsing online I came across what seemed to be a great deal for a used motorcycle. I bought it and hauled it home in the middle of a snowstorm. When I got it home I began looking it over. I discovered that the bike had been dropped or crashed and someone had tried to repair the broken ABS plastic fairings. I removed all the plastic fairings so It would be ready to repair. In this unveiling you will see me actually load the bike during the snowstorm along with all the steps I took and the tools and materials I used to complete the ABS plastic repair. We end the episode with a completed repair ready for paint. Stay tuned for future episodes where we will mount and dismount a front tire, balance a wheel, balance a wheel / tire assembly, rebuild front forks with new seals and bushings and then we will go over the bike and perform routine maintenance.
History: The bike is a 2003 Suzuki GSX600F Katana with 11,100 miles. It was purchased new in 2004. I am the 3rd owner. The previous owner had it for 10 years. It has not been registered for the last 4 years.
