F.J.A. Pockley's ashes in the Warrumbungles

My brother Tim suggested that I spread our father's ashes in the Warrumbungles. On the 27th August 2023 I took the ashes up to the ridge where the view to the north feeds my spirit. He (our father) was a keen star gazer, and although he didn't believe in an afterlife, the clear night skies of the Warrumbungles seem like an appropriate place for his remains to reside.

Francis John Antill Pockley (John) was born in Canowindra N.S.W on June 28th 1912. He died at home in Sydney on 22nd February 1991 after a distinguished career as an ophthalmic surgeon. He was a keen star gazer, loved the bush, and was able to sing Homer in Ancient Greek.
