in this video i will show you step by step how we made a sdimple but very loud whistle.
i used 2 coins and drilled 6 holes .
than i used an aluminum cilinder and drilled 6 holes at 33 degrees angle.
this component will work as a spindle and can accelerate very quickly.
there is a very small gap between the turbine spindle and the coin.
the air is forced and cut between the parts creating a very loud noise.
giaco whatever helped me to design and print the enclosure for the coins and the spindle.
i secure all the parts using some epoxy glue.
so this is a very easy project.
and i hope you enjoy it!
Hello guys! in this video in collaboration with Giaco wathever we thought how to replicate in small the famous turbines used in anti-war alarms in war or in case of tornado.
in fact, giaco has redirected the air compression cone in 3D.
the air in fact congealed in the cone will go through the first coin.
in fact, the coin has five holes.
the air will then pass into the turbine.
this will start to rotate at a very high number of revolutions.
and this is precisely the effect that will generate the whistle.
the air will be cut and will generate a very high frequency sound.
I presume that even dogs can hear it at great distances.
therefore the air after passing from the turbine can come out of the coin that acts as a cap.
in fact this has bigger holes to not limit its power.
a good trick is to use a light material to make the turbine for this I used aluminum.
in fact, the more it will be light and the more it will turn.
but it must also have a bit of mass to keep rotating even when it has stopped blowing,
I used two fake € 2 coins trimmed to my trusted electronics dealer.
do not use real coins.
the turbine will rotate on its steel pin without friction thanks to the minimum point of contact.
the screw placed on top of the coin lid has a tiny photo inside it. perfect to accommodate the steel pin of the turbine.
the whistle is audible at great distances.
a similar whistle was used by my grandfather when he was in the Italian army at war.
I remember when I was a child I had to try it. Unfortunately, over the years it has been lost, but I really remember that it works perfectly.
it is slightly smaller and made of brass. I will soon do it
