Genesis never played "For absent friends" live and Steve Hackett hadn't played this track for over 40 years when Genetics asked him to join them for an homage to Nacho Rodriguez Genta, Genetics' singer, who had recently died in an accident. This is video footage from the soundcheck, where Steve tried the track in both Acoustic and Electric guitars... a rare double take for a lost track that was on the vaults for over four decades and was never caught on video.
