Some context: Language loss and language revitalization is a very delicate matter in Indigenous activism, culture, and history. For the first time since movies were a thing, Indigenous languages have gotten enough support to be learned and being re-spoken, so even though the great majority of movies are still NOT being translated and dubbed in Native American languages like they are with other languages, this video is trying to prove that this isn't just doable but NEEDS to be done! No Disney song had EVER been translated, sung and released into any these languages, so this is something very big and will hopefully inspire people to do their own versions as well. It a very long time to make this, so share with people and hopefully, something ever greater could be done.
Indigenous language revitalization is turning into a bigger and even more impactful movement and one of the cool side effects of this is the representation it will get in media, POP Culture, and specifically in Movies made for kids, so they can get in touch with their traditional language from an early age. So hopefully this becomes the first Movie song of MANY MORE yet to come that gets to be translated and sung in Native American languages.

NOTE: Many of the singers don't speak the language they sang in, we all tried our best to pronounce correctly, on average every singer re-sent their version 3 to 5 times from which a language speaker would correct them or send a pronunciation guide audio to the singer, it took extensive hours of work, but any and all feedback is welcome :)

- - While getting in touch with people that speak these languages for translation, I came across this Elder from the province I live in here in Canada, he is currently in the process of writing the whole song in the Nehiyawat Dialect of Cree and he already has a great singer who speaks Nehiyawat as the first language to sing it, isn't it amazing! :)
This project inspired them and hopefully will inspire more. The Austronesian collab for Moana I organized a couple years ago inspired someone to write the whole song in Tongan, so I feel like this project, being relatively bigger, will do even greater things! :DD
