TOURISTS MAKING MALAYSIAN KUIH IN RAUB
TOURISTS MAKING MALAYSIAN KUIH IN RAUB
First of all, we would like to thank to BeTouristMY Information & Service Centre for organising such a unique trip and inviting so many different nationalities from around the world to discover Raub in Malaysia.
Myself and Micha have truly enjoyed everything about this trip because it’s very different to what we are normally used to and we always like to spice things up during our travels. We have never heard about Raub before and when we were invited to join on this trip, we were a little sceptical thinking that who’s going to want to watch our videos from unknown town in Malaysia?
However, when the day came, when we met the people at the office, got to meet fellow travel lovers... after several interactions with locals, getting to know their lifestyles, their traditions, asking them questions and listening to their stories that go way back before we were even born - we knew that Raub was something very different to what everyone is used to and that we needed to keep going because it was getting better and better.
We have lived in Malaysia for almost two months but he have never ever tried any kind of Kuih before and we are so happy that our first encounter with kuih, especially with Loh Mai Chi was at Francis’s shop. That man was so kind, caring and fun to talk to that we could literally listen to his stories all day long whilst stuffing our faces with his delicious home made Loh Mai Chi. We are also very pleased that we got to make our own Malaysian kuih too.
The day continued with us visiting a family - run restaurant, where Alan (the owner and the chef) showed us how to make noodles and what kind of dishes you can make with one kind of noodles...
Now then... I could talk here forever, but you've seen it all for yourselves...one amazing day filled with heritage, culture, questions, joy, curiosity, excitement, surprises and much more!
Please stay tuned as we got one more video coming your way from our trip in Raub!
