Interest rates increasing with ‘unusually brisk pace’

REA Group Economist Angus Moore says the interest rates have risen with an “unusually brisk pace”.

Mr Moore said the RBA’s decision to hike interest rates occurred with a brisk pace given expectations communicated by the RBA earlier in the year.

“What’s changed is inflation,” he told Sky News Australia.

“The RBA have had to respond to that as a result.”
