For over a decade, Genoa Ventures’ founder and managing director Dr. Jenny Rooke has been deploying capital at the frontiers of life sciences innovation, with a penchant for technology-fueled solutions and category-defying opportunities. Jenny got her start in venture at Fidelity Biosciences, a Cambridge-based healthcare VC, during their Fund I formation. Jenny then brought her unique toolkit of genetics domain expertise, strategic business acumen, and venture investing to the Gates Foundation, where she deployed and managed over $250M in funding in genetic engineering, diagnostics, and synthetic biology. She also played a key role in establishing the foundation’s investing function.

Ela Madej, Founding Partner at Fifty Years
Ela is Founding Partner at Fifty Years VC. She is a serial tech entrepreneur, impact investor and Y Combinator alum. She also is Founder of Impact.Tech -- a community of techies who want to combine purpose with profit. There’s a sea change coming in business as big as the shift from desktop to the cloud, or from web to mobile. Fifty Years supports the entrepreneurs heralding in the new economic renaissance.

Laurie Menoud, Partner at At One Ventures
Laurie is a Partner at At One Ventures where she finds, funds, and grows teams that catalyze planet-positive industries. From microbiological research to Corporate Innovation & Venture Capital, she has always been driven by the positive impact deep tech, such as AI, synthetic biology, or robotics, could have on our nature and society. Biotechnologist by training, she has played roles in environmental health, and in the transformation of the chemical industry through innovation strategy, startup acquisition, and investment. She has also commercialized next-generation technologies out of government-funded programs such as DARPA and built her operating experience co-creating a dozen ventures.
