60009 'Union of South Africa' at Darlington (01/10/19)

Yesterday, 60009 'Union of South Africa' left Grosmont after the NYMR Annual Steam Gala last weekend and made a stop at Darlington to run round it's support coach so it could continue it's journey back to Bury at the East Lancashire Railway for their steam gala in the coming weeks.

Before 60009 arrived, there was a visit from 2 DRS Class 37s on the first RHTT train of the season, these were put into the DUS/Loop last minute and left on time, so that 60009 could run into the loop. This video includes a few shots of the LNER Azumas and a TPE Nova 1 heading north and south and 60009 doing a complete run round the station.

On another note, my list is going well so far and despite a few last minute additions like this, I am quite proud of myself to making sure to stick to the list. I will still be attending the GCR Steam gala and I still plan on heading to Carlisle the weekend after for the LNER Diverts and Cumbrian Mountain Express.
