Hiking Algonquin ⛰️ and Beautiful Fall Adirondack Foliage! | ADK's 🇺🇸 Part 1

Hi gang! This is the first video from Izzy and I's fall trip to that Adirondack Mountains in Fall 2024. The video starts in Old Forge NY where we did a short little hike and lunch break in the town. We then continued to the Northern parts of the Adirondack Mountains where we stayed for the duration of our trip.

I have been to the Adirondacks many times before, however this was my first time staying in the northern region of the high peaks region. The majority of this video covers us hiking Algonquin. This was honestly a great hike!

I have hiked Mount Marcy before, which starts from the same location and is similar in altitude. One major difference on this hike was this was steep from the beginning, and featured a steady incline for the majority of hike. This made for a nice challenge, with an interesting surprise factor - ICE. I have decent experience hiking, but this was my first time running into ice while hiking. This proved to be a minor challenge and we had to be really careful in all that we were doing. Next time we will come more prepared!
