🥭 Sweet & Spicy Mango Curry | Ghotache Sasav With Coconut

A delicious Goan-style sweet and spicy mango curry made with fresh grated coconut! This rich, flavorful, and comforting recipe is perfect for mango season and pairs beautifully with rice or chapati.



📝 Ingredients

* 7 ripe mangoes (washed & peeled)
* Salt to taste
* ¼ cup jaggery (adjust as per taste)
* 2 cups grated coconut
* 2 tsp chilli powder
* ¼ tsp turmeric powder
* 1 tsp mustard seeds
* 1 sprig curry leaves
* 1–2 tbsp oil
* Water as needed



👩‍🍳 Method

1. Wash and peel the mangoes. Make slits so the masala can seep inside.
2. Add salt and jaggery to the mangoes, mix well, and keep aside.
3. In a mixer jar, add grated coconut, chilli powder, turmeric, and a little water. Grind into a smooth paste.
4. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
5. Add curry leaves for aroma.
6. Add the marinated mangoes and mix gently.
7. Pour in the ground coconut masala and a little water if needed.
8. Cover and cook until the mangoes soften and the gravy thickens.
9. Adjust salt if needed and serve hot.
