Poor limping Elephant took his last breath | Humble effort to save his life was in vain -Part 3

This poor elephant has been shot for two times in his leg. First incident was happened two years ago. Which cause to cripple the leg of innocent giant. Latter was believed to happened nearly a 1 month ago. That time bullet shot was hit on the opposite side of the limp.
The gunshot injured wound leg was infected with germs. Unfortunately, when we found him, the infection has spread so far. But the dedicated wild life officers didn’t give up and tried their best. The main obstacle was to find the elephant, as it was living in the dense forest. Sometimes they had to spend several days in the jungle in search of this elephant. They did on the spot treatment to the elephant whenever they found him. They inserted antibiotic to the elephant’s body via tranquilizer /darting gun to avoid the spreading of infection.
But it was not successful as they were too late to start the treatment. When they found the elephant, the infection has spread too deeply in to elephant’s body.
After eight days passed since they started the first treatment, the wild life officers got a news that the elephant has fallen down near the border of the forest. They rushed the spot. It was a heart-breaking scene! Elephant was breathing with great difficulty. The infection was severe. Elephant was lethargic due to severe pain.
Heart melted wild life officers tried their best to save him. They gave two bottles of saline to the elephant to regain its lost energy. Antibiotic was mixed in to one saline bottle. Direct injection of antibiotic was also done intramuscularly. But everything was in vain. After two hours of the final treatment, poor giant took his last breath. It was a heartbreaking moment to everybody. Wildlife officers regret that if they found him earlier, they could have saved his life. The evil people who did this crime to innocent elephant should be punished severely.
