Your Hit Parade May 12, 1951. Still rather new to television, this live series presented Dorothy Collins, Eileen Wilson and Snooky Lanson with Raymond Scott conducting the Hit Parade orchestra in the top 7 songs of the week plus 2 extras in clever settings. Elieen sings the #1 song, If, Dorothy performs the #2 song, Mockin' Bird Hill, and Snooky tackles the #3 song, On Top of Old Smokey. The rest of the songs are Sparrow in the Tree Top, It's Delovely,Be My Love, How High the Moon, Mama Inez, Would I Love You, Chicago, and the cast join Eileen for the classic closing theme: So Long for Awhile. The Hit Parade dancers featuring Paul Godkin perform a couple tunes. It would be a couple years before Gisele MacKenzie joined the cast.
