From visiting a 1000 year old monastery to touching over 2000 year old hand written scriptures! From seeing the mummified remains of a monk to simply finding ourselves immersed in the history and traditions of Zanskar, our visit to Karsha Monastery was more than just a point in our itinerary!
For us travel and exploring is sacred, and when we get to experience moments like these, which feel surreal, often chill us down the spine, leave us in awe, admiration and sometimes even thinking how small, we really are, the journey seems so worth it! Our Youtube film on Zanskar is a our tribute to the rich history of zanskar which has remained safeguarded and hidden from the world. Over the years it has been passed down to faithful followers, curious explorers and those who have desired to learn more about it. It is indeed a privilege to be standing here, experiencing it all and taking memories with us back. ✨
