Sanding My Own Hand | Climbing Tapes Tested

I sanded my own hand, waxed my own leg, and poured oil into a crack to test the durability, stickiness and friction of our new Wide Boyz climbing tape.

We wanted to see how our new Wide Boyz Tape compared to other top tape brands on the climbing market. We took three tapes; Brand A (metolius), Brand B (dream tape), and our Wide Boyz tape and put them head to head in 5 tests.
1. Strength test - tape needs to be strong to prevent splitting
2. Stickiness test - tape needs to be sticky so it doesn't move or peel off your hand and fingers when climbing
3. Durability test - tape needs to be durable, so it can withstand repetitive use
4. Friction test - tape needs to have good hand-to-rock friction so it doesn't slip
5. Toughness test - tape needs to have the ability to withstand sharp crystals, pebbles, and rough rock.
