HTML Paragraph Tags: The p Element and What Goes Inside It | Metrik Rule

The p tag is one of the most used elements in HTML, and it has a few behaviors that are not obvious until you run into them.

This video covers the basics: what the p tag is, why block-level elements cannot go inside it, and what happens when you try. We use Chrome DevTools to show the browser's auto-correction live — what you wrote versus what the DOM actually contains.

We also cover inline elements inside paragraphs, the br tag for line breaks within a paragraph, and why empty p tags are not a substitute for CSS spacing.
