Simmons WTC-250 Wheel Turning Center: Automatic Tool Changer

The new Simmons WTC-250 Wheel Turning Center features an automatic tool changer for increased productivity and tool configuration versatility. It has an eight position magazine to support the desired tooling:

- A boring bar containing rough and finish inserts for rough bore, finish bore, and top chamfer operations on railway wheel bores between 5.5 and 11 inches (140 mm to 280 mm)

- A measuring probe for pre-machining and post-machining measurement

The machine can be optionally equipped with a larger tool magazine (12 or 16 positions) and additional boring bars.
