Sleepy LaBeef pays homage to Merle Haggard. The Human Jukebox Rides Again!

This is a demo/outtake from the Roots recording sessions with Sleepy LaBeef paying tribute to the one and only, Merle Haggard. These sessions were recorded by Kramer (Shimmy Disc, Butthole Surfers) in California, then finished in Arkansas back in 2006. Sleepy and his acoustic Martin guitar. This track has been in the Ponk archives and we felt it was time to dust it off and share it with the world. The video was shot at Tammy’s Red Ram bar, in Tampa FL, back in 1991. We have several more unreleased Demos and outtakes from the Sleepy LaBeef Roots sessions that we will be posting on the channel in upcoming days/weeks/months, so check back and subscribe! Sleepy LaBeef is an inductee of both the Country and Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
