We Only Had 100€. Here's What Happened - Vanlife in Switzerland
Can you really travel in Switzerland on just €100? We took on the challenge in one of the most expensive countries in the world—exploring stunning cities, nature, and hidden gems while living in our self-built camper van.

In this episode, we visit Geneva and see the famous Jet d’Eau fountain, explore the charming streets of Bern, and hike through the Swiss countryside to breathtaking viewpoints. We also discover the incredible Aare Gorge (Aareschlucht)—one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Switzerland.
From budget food shopping and transport costs to unexpected expenses like the Swiss vignette, we track every euro to see if this challenge is even possible.
We finish our journey at an amazing Swiss campsite with mountain views, sharing honest thoughts about camper van travel in Switzerland, wild camping rules, and real costs.
We had an amazing stay at Lazy Rancho. With two campsite options—Lazy Rancho Family & Adventure and Lazy Rancho Adults Only—there’s something for everyone. Both locations offer breathtaking views, a relaxing atmosphere, and incredibly friendly staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. It’s also a perfect base to explore the region, with plenty of activities to enjoy nearby.

We had an incredible experience visiting the Aare Gorge (Aareschlucht). Walking through this natural wonder, surrounded by towering rock walls and vibrant blue water, was truly unforgettable. The paths are well maintained and easy to follow, making it accessible while still feeling adventurous. It’s definitely a must-visit destination when exploring Switzerland.

We had the chance to try a product from New Roots, and we were genuinely impressed. The flavor, texture, and overall quality exceeded our expectations. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into their products, and we’re excited to try more in the future.
