Anthropic Removed My Favorite Claude Code Feature 😤
Anthropic... we need to talk.
Claude Code had this incredible feature called Opus Plan Mode. It was the perfect workflow: use Opus 4.1 for planning your complex tasks, and Sonnet 4 for executing them. Best of both worlds - smart planning with the most capable model, fast execution without burning through usage limits.
I absolutely LOVED this feature. It was the sweet spot for developers who want quality planning without sacrificing their entire usage quota.
Then the 4.5 models dropped... and Opus Plan Mode was just gone. No warning. No explanation. No migration path. Just poof.
Now we're stuck choosing between:
→ Opus 4.5 for everything (hits usage limits fast)
→ Sonnet 4.5 for everything (great, but not Opus-great for complex planning)
Why would you remove the perfect middle ground, Anthropic?!
If you feel the same frustration:

• Tag any Anthropic employee you know
• Share this video with fellow Claude Code users
Let's make some noise and bring back Opus Plan Mode!
