Flu Week: When Discipline Gets Tested

My discipline was put to the test this past week as our household had one of its most challenging weeks ever. Leading up to everyone getting sick we had car troubles and a violent traumatic dog fight at a family members house that resulted in an emergency vet visit. Influenza struck everyone in the house resulting in our toddler being taken to the ER in the middle of the week. A high fever combined with listlessness caused his Grandmother to seek medical assistance and scared us all. I realized our household has less financial room for error than I originally thought during this week as well. I struggled with not being able to train only a few weeks away from a Personal Best 10K attempt and had to switch gears into recovery mode.
