Bert Kaempfert and His Orchestra - Remember When

It's "knack bass" time again ;-) here on the channel as we present the original instrumental version of another "Kaempfert gem" namely "Remember when".
Bert Kaempfert was already a well established name in the popular music business when the fabulous album "Bye Bye Blues" (from which the track is taken) was released back in 1965. Like many other of his compositions, this "Remember when" got lyrics added to it and the song was recorded by an array of famous performers (eg Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, Johny Mathis, etc) In 1979 jazz vocalist Sylvia Vrethammar brought a splendid version of the song in the ZDF TV Special 'Bert Kaempfert In Concert'.
But of course .... when Bert himself plays the tune with his Orchestra, it is "musical pleasure pur sang" (or should we say "first class" ;-) ? ....
Bert's amazing talent - transforming feelings, emotions and thoughts into music - is highlighted once more with this distinct composition.
